Both those concepts would be perfect for a Challengers of the Unknown book.

You know what would be great? A new series of stories set in the worlds of Batman '66 or the George Reeves Superman era TV series, or maybe the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman of the late 70's. As for some crossovers ideas; a new version of the Scooby-Doo/Batman team-up, but with the Dark Knight version of Batman of today. Also add Scrappy Doo as a demented version of himself unlike he was in the live action movie.

Batman 66 is such a great comic, I'd love to see more Tv and movie based stuff.
A trinity of the TV Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman World's Finest featuring Micheal Keaton's Batman and Chris Reeves' Superman. Suicide Squad made up of Batman 66 villains.
It's a goldmine of ideas.

Other thought: Would love to see the Zoo Crew back in action, but any attempts to make it dark and realistic will get you slapped.
It should read like a silver age super hero story with animal pun names. Like with the HB heroes, it doesn't need fixing.
and I second the vote for more DC historical stories. Love that stuff.

Want a 'Legends of tomorrow series' done with the comic book versions of the TV characters. Rip Hunter in his classic green suit, a tiny Atom in his little flying chair and classic Heatwave and Captain Cold.

Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Fire, Ice, Red Rocket and Captain Atom having adventures through time. Hilarity ensues, up until Captain Atom finally fulfills his destiny to become Monarch. Shortly after, Golden Age Black Canary joins the team.

I've been doing some thinking of what to write for DC2K, but what I have planned could be linked to a DC Nation short that would have been better than Teen Titans Go.

I wish they'd done a series off that Vibe short. A break-dancing super-hero works so much better as a cartoon than a comic book.
Vixen is a character I've thought about doing something with. She just has that wonderful power that's a variety of powers, with a mythical connection that appeals to the researcher in me. Plus her occupation in the fashion industry provides for a multitude of settings

JLTemporal is a catching name. Not a huge fan of the Giffen era team, so I still prefer my line up.
Thanks for reminding me about the DC shorts. Just watched a bunch on youtube. Green Arrow was fun. Animal man was trying too hard to be funny Tales of Metropolis was my favorite of the bunch. Especially the Bizarro stuff..
Have to watch more.

I was surprised that Animal Man was voiced by Weird Al. He does a great job in the voice acting gig and he has his own Disney show to boot.

Random thoughts for today:
Watched the first episode of the CW Supergirl and found myself thinking 'Huh, I don't think I've ever written a Supergirl story...that might be fun..."
Anybody else read 'Superboy and the Ravers'? I really liked that series. So much fun and was completely forgotten the minute it ended. Love to do some version of it. Teen drama and big cosmic adventure.
Was wondering if it would work if you tried to reverse engineer Watchmen and write them as a straight super hero team? Is there too much baggage and/or reverence for the original for it to stand a chance?

I don't see how Watchmen could work in any other context than what it was already used for, unless it was a set of prequel stories. Perhaps...and it's a big perhaps, I'd be interested in seeing what happens after the original conclusion. Does the world become united? I'm curious, but that's a really hard sell.

I watch the CW (formerly CBS) Supergirl off and on, enjoying some but not likely a lot. Top beef is the origin they went with. While it bothers me her secret identity isn't Linda Danvers, I understand why they went with Kara Danvers. It's now been set up that, when Marvel releases a film featuring their major female character next year, she'll be perceived as a copy of Supergirl, right down to the name Carol Danvers.
I heartily endorse a series about Superboy and the Ravers, but only if he has the jacket and shades.

My thought was that Moore took a bunch of silver age heroes and turned them into Watchmen, but could the reverse be done and all the angst and psychological stuff scrapped off and write them as "just super heroes"...? In the actual comics, lord no! Fandom would rise up and tear whoever did it into little tiny pieces and then set fire to those pieces and then kick the writer's dog...
It's an interesting notion to ponder, but I can't decide if I'm feeling ambitious/perverse enough to try it.
On a lighter note, nice to see I'm not the only Ravers fan here.
