I'd forgotten about L.A.W. It was a bit of a wasted opportunity. Nice idea, pretty art, pretty blah story, had almost no lasting repercussions.
It would be fun to write a Charlton hero team. DC has treated those characters so badly and the shadow of Watchmen hasn't helped. They deserve more love then they get.

I like to see a reboot of Angel and the Ape. I had thought of doing a mini for DC Omega with Angel O'Day as a foul mouth cigar smoking female detective working with Sam Simian who people don't his really a gorilla who is a comic book artist at DC. In the modern version, Sam would be an ambassador from Gorilla City working with the police.

Phil Foglio's A+A was the perfect blend of goofy and serious. The Vertigo mini was a complete train wreck full of 'oh, aren't we clever and subversive!' stupidity and an incredibly weak mystery.
I did an A+A mini years ago for the late great DC Legends and it was fun writing Sam and Angel and their friendship and having them as the two sane people in a crazy world.

I was going to suggest doing a Justice League Unlimited type series with a changing cast for every story. And maybe a rotating writing team. So in case a writer can't make a deadline a writer can slot in his/her story.

JLUnlimited would be a fun idea for an anthology.

If DC's doing more realistic HB titles, why not just integrate them into the DCU proper? Have Scooby & his family's ability to talk tie into Animal Man/Beast Boy/Bwana Beast; Benton Quest could be a business partner of Bruce Wayne's who's just been in self-exile with his son since the death of his wife; Vandal Savage could have had a heavy hand in the formation of Bedrock and the caveman era; Elroy Jetson could try his hand at being in the Legion of Superheroes; and so on.

That'd make a fun event story, but as a regular thing would be a disaster. DC does not have the best track record when it comes to how they've treated characters they bought and then tried to integrate into the DCU.
I doubt they'd they'd treat the Galaxy Trio any better then they treated the Freedom Fighters, the Charlton heroes or the Windstorm universe. Not to mention how my skin crawls at seeing the phrase 'more realistic' used next to Hanna-barbaera. Cause we were all hoping for a serious reboot of Peter Potomus...?

Anyone read the first issue of the JL/Power Rangers crossover? Meanwhile, There is that Scooby-Doo team-Up comic where Scooby teams up with DC and HB characters. I'm waiting for Scooby to team up with Captain Planet and Beetlejuice. If any HB show needs a modern remake is Hong Kong Phooey, cause how are people can see the only talking dog superhero is the same only talking dog who is the cleaning guy at the police station? If the series took the TMNT route with the Asian mythology then you got something.

I have JLA/Rangers in my 'to be read' pile, but haven't had a chance to read it yet.
Scooby-Doo team up is the best Scooby comic out there and one of the most fun reads coming out of DC. It respects the characters and has a great sense of humor. Sad to say when they did their all dog issue Hong Kong Phooey did not show up.

Nor did Dynomutt, but they'll have him and Blue Falcon in a future issue since they teamed up in the cartoons before. I like to see a team up with Goober and the Ghost Chasers and a possible Scrappy-Doo return as a villain. If DC plans on doing another HB title it should be The Jetsons, but mix it with Futurama and Back To The Future.

I think the upcoming HB/DC one shots might be testing the waters for more HB titles. One of them is the Jetsons. The descriptions don't give me much hope, but wait and see.

If a Jetsons title is anything like the current crop of DC titles, it'll be set in some kind of horrible, bleak future like the one we saw in Harvey Birdman.

Is there a DC equivalent to Marvel's Damage Control?

Is there a DC equivalent to Marvel's Damage Control? I have read several articles that have popped up about how since DC is putting out Powerless, Marvel has decided to do their own comedy show with Damage Control. Maybe Powerless could be what you are looking for. They are an insurance company who has their own department like that of Damage Control. Those who have the claim with Powerless file the paperwork and the company sends out cleaning crews to clean up the mess left by the super villain/superhero fight. You could even throw in some former heroes and villains who do not want to be in the heroic or villain game but just want to live their lives normal like.

The weird thing about that show is that Batman's cousin Van Wayne is the owner.
