I've been reading the recent trades of the IDW TMNT series for inspiration for my upcoming TMNT series for Every-Verse. I'm still reading the Boom Power Rangers series as well. I feel that I like reading the indie comics is better than the main two right now.
I've also been reading the recent Archie Horror comics one-shots and they aren't half bad. Wish they restated doing a ongoing series again, and maybe continue Afterlife with Archie.

Avengers: war across time: It's Paul Levitz and Alan Davis doing the original Avengers line up! What more do you need to know? Go buy it!
The Marvels: Kurt Busiek takes 128 pieces of marvel history and adds a couple new ones to tell this fun sprawling romp of a story. Great stuff. Such a fun read.

She-Hulk: still buying this, as my wife likes it, but man, is it a mess. Nice art, so it's at least a pretty mess.
Cyborg: like Victor being solo, but the 'new' status quo being to reset him to acting like he did in the 80's feels off. Like some of B-list villains showing up, but having the big bad be just another tech villain is old.
Guardians: decent first issue, but they are exactly the movie versions and acting like it's always been that way. Was there a story that covered this or are we just hand waving it into existence?
Ron Marz two 'Rebirth' minis (Silver Surfer and Warlock) are a ton of fun. Glad to hear he's doing a third one.

Unsure if anyone is still out there to see my insightful reviews, but here goes:
Scarlet Witch: want to like this more than I do. I appreciate someone trying to fix Wanda after a decade of dumping on her, but it just feels like she's constantly shouting 'I'M FINE! REALLY! EVERYTHING IS JUST GREAT AND EMOTIONALLY STABLE!"
It's only mildly convincing, and the story is a mess. Just playing the greatest huits of Wanda's history, rather than wanting to tell stories.

I just read the Creepshow TPB, and I like this series. It's good to see horror anthologies again since the EC Comics days, as some of the newer ones were semi meh. I do like Grimm Fairy Tales of Terror, but the new Creepshow comics makes me finally want to watch the new TV show.

Couple more:
Hawkgirl: really nice art, everything else is a mess. The JLA has disbanded, yet they all show up in this issue, Hawkgirl's status quo is a vague amalgam of everything that's come before, but we assume you read all her previous appearances so we won't explain it. The big bad they immediately introduce is not that interesting, Hawkgirl's supporting cast is as cliche as it gets and they bring in a character DC is trying to promote, so Hawkgirl has to share her solo story.
Knight Terrors: Zatanna: decent intro to the event if this is the first story you pick up. Nice use of Zatanna's history. Much as I love Robotman, partnering him with Zatanna feels like they just picked him at random. Bad guys are suitably creepy and well designed.
GI Combat: found this in the cheap box. I never pass up on a Haunted Tank story in the cheap box. A nice mix of short stories.

Got back to reading my copy of Heat 2 and cannot wait for the film tbh. Well if ever I heard about the novel. Are they planning to make a sequel movie? I hadn't thought of listing books. I babble enough with just comics. Add in the books I'm reading and I'll never shut up.

I’ve just finished the run of the recent Hellions series by Zeb Wells. Terrific stuff all around. Though not my favorite take on Mr Sinister, he was very entertaining and the interactions with Nanny were a highlight. And I’m certainly planning to look at the Dark Web story to see what’s gone on there.

Amazes me, how Wells took a bunch of characters almost no one cared about and built them up the way he did.

She-Hulk: dear lord! 15 issues and nothing happens! Great art supporting a story so slight and fluffy if you sneeze while ready it, the entire thing would blow away. Shame.
Black Panther: No longer king (and this time they mean it!), in exile and on the outs with the Avengers, T'Challa becomes the Batman of a Wakandan city. Nice set up with lots of potential and beautiful art.
Scarlet Witch: nice art, decent writing, but such a 'greatest hits' tour of Wanda's history and shoehorning Darcy from the MCU isn't really working.
Revenge of the Black Panther: got it so I'd finally have the entire Kirby run. All the other odds and ends are decent, but can't win in a comparison with Kirby.
