Not cool man. Love that cartoon. Be fun to do something with the Spider-friends. Well it's probably not what your thinking but I did briefly consider trying to find a place to write a book about Human Torch and Iceman as a couple who fight crime together now that Johnny's been revealed as bi and Bobby's been revealed as gay. They could be like Marvel's Midnighter and Apollo, complete with the complimentary powersets! lol

Remember the crossover with Deadpool, where Wade pulls a Robot Chicken and kills the Sinister Six in the style of the 80's cartoon and buries Spidey the same way in Kraven's Last Hunt to replace him?
If this was done in a modern way, Video Man would transform from 8-bit and 32-bit, and pull a Wreck-It-Ralph as he would be a mutant with the powers of various video game heroes.

As would I, complete with Spider-Man showing up every so often as the friend who tries to be totally cool but is clearly a little uncomfortable with the new situation. He'd agonize about Johnny and Bobby meeting Aunt Man, terrified if her heart could take it, then see she's much more okay with them than he is.

If only Johnny wasn't already in a relationship with Lyja over in F4, I'd totally let him appear in that title if Bobby were to be outed in the M2Kverse.

It's not something I EVER thought would work at M2K, lol. And trust me I don't mind: I'm a Johnny/Lyja shipper from WAAAAAAAAAAY back. Marvel really screwed that romance up and wasted a great character in Lyja to boot

I thought it was the alternate earth where Peter was bitten by a radioactive Aunt May...?

Max 2000 #42 - I really think that Sarah Hanningan is my favorite character that John writes, and that's largely because his own love for her comes across in his writing. She's been featured in his other stories quite a bit, and in this one-shot that ties into recent X-Men events, we get the solo spotlight on her. This was an interesting aftermath to what's been happening on Genosha. It's an angle that I doubt the other writers thought of, so I'm glad that John spent some time with it.
Project Argent #7 - I think my favorite part of this issue was the reference to Yellow Cat Land, which is based on a fictitious anime that John has established several of his characters enjoy. It's like a running gag in John's stories. It just adds a little layer of cohesiveness. I also appreciate that these characters have had steady progression, but I'm not quite sure where this is going to end up yet.
Villains For Hire #18 - I'm loving the team dynamic that John's built into the series. These mercenaries, who would kill you if someone with enough money told them to, bicker and have enough of a shared background now that they feel like a little family. While this title has lots of brutal moments, there is still room for some funny little gags, like the fact that these hired killers not only formed a rock band, but that they released as single as well. This is a title I look forward to every month.

Thanks Dave, these reviews are most appreciated and I'm glad you're enjoying all my titles especially V4H.
As for the ladies of Project Argent...well I wouldn't worry about them going anywhere. Potentiality brainstorming another eight part adventure for autumn this year, although I am open to any assistance or collaboration anyone wants to throw this way.

So could I, and it'd probably make more sense than how Marvel played it. "Oh, by the way, you're gay now."

Well, everyone knows time travel turns you gay. That's just science.

Well, everyone knows time travel turns you gay. That's just science. Love that Bobby was like, "Maybe I'm bi?" and Jean's like, "No, you're gay, my mind powers know," and Bobby's like, "Yeah, I know, right? Warren's so hawt lolerballz." Gotta admire Bendis taking something as nuanced and deep as sexuality and making it Saturday morning cartoon simple with no follow-up planned whatsoever. May have to show him how it's done soon...
