So I got to thinking recently (I know, those are dangerous words). I've been writing fanfic in the HEROES community since I was around 15 or 16. I'm turning 33 in July, so that's literally half of my life. I'd like to think I've written most of the Marvel Universe, but that's not entirely true. There are characters and concepts that I haven't really had a crack at that I'd like to write still. Below are mine, what are yours?
Captain America Thor Wolverine (solo, not as an X-Man) Jean Grey Silver Surfer Venom Kraven (I know, right? As much as I've written Spider-Man, you'd think...) Jessica Drew Iron Fist

I've always wanted to write Batman. I've written him as a supporting character twice (in the Justice War event for DCI and the City of Chaos event for the MKG), but never solo. I had a prop for DCI all worked out, but then the site caved.
As far as Marvel characters go, probably Thor.

Except for brief scenes in a crossover, I've never properly written Thor. And just recently I've acquired a hankering to write Black Panther. I don't know what awesome multi-million dollar portrayal brought that on.
There's a Hercules story I'd love to write, but...doesn't apply to this site. I've written Batman and Superman, but not Wonder Woman. I've love to write a story where the Marvel Hercules has a proper interaction with Wonder Woman, learning about the actions of the DC Hercules. It's one thing to kind of being considered second-best in one universe, perhaps a joke, but to be actively and justifiably despised in another universe, it would be interesting to explore how Hercules deals through that.
Also, it apparently now falls on me to write the third season of Agent Carter.

DCI may be coming back. Mike may have accepted a Superman proposal from me a couple weeks ago. Maybe. :-)
(It is.)

At this point, I think I've written every comic character I've wanted in the DC/Marvel universes to the point where I'm turning to non comic properties like Supernatural for ongoing series. At thisp oint, the only comic characters left that I've never touched are the Archie characters.

I started writing fanfics since 1997 when I did Daria fiction. I did Punisher here, Birds Of Prey at JLU 2001, and making a comeback here in the near future. I have been working on a new version of TMNT and Power Rangers at fanfiction.net. I do want to do a new take on Sabrina The Teenage Witch, but with a more mix of a dark and less comedic take on the character.

Yeah, if we include non-comic properties my list goes to about 128.

Hmmmm....lessee:
MARVEL:
Punisher: Writing a series with the main character dishing out horrific punishments to those bastards in the world who deserve it would be so great. For some reason, I'm also feeling a battle with FrankenCastle (he's a separate character in my headcanon) and a hookup with Lynn Michaels. Just because.
Blade: Same reason as the Punisher. But with VAMPIRES.
Iron Man: Would love to tackle this title, but I feel like I need to be more of a futurist myself in order to pull this off.
Wolverine: LOTS of material to work with here. BUT, I could see the title getting bogged down by its own continuity.
DC:
Resurrection Man: There are some real perks to writing a series where the main character can die literally every issue. Also, I want to write a story where Mitch Shelley gets Superman-like god-powers, doesn't realize the scope of this until just before he dies, and comes back to life being able to talk to ants within a three-inch radius or some equally-insipid power. He'd be like: "WTF, really???" Oh, how cruel I would be to Mr. Shelley indeed.
Booster Gold: Because I LOVE time travel. And I love smartasses. My only problem would be how to keep this series on-track. Do you have Booster Gold protecting the timeline, implying that there is only one timeline and that a multiverse cannot exist? Or if a multiverse DOES exist, does "protecting" the timeline even matter, since any change branches off into a parallel universe and your prime universe still exists, and the time traveler that changed events is the only one that "crosses over" to the secondary timeline? OR, you could have Booster Gold have changed one thing in the past that skewed his entire future timeline, and this series is just him trying to undo that change in order to "cross back over" into his own prime reality.
Perhaps I think too much.

I like to think that a final Resurrection Man story is where he gains the power to to turn himself into glass, but not change back. So in a thousand years there's this glass statue of Mitch Shelley, just watching the world go by, hoping that someday he'll be shattered and killed. Of course, then he'd gain the godlike powers, but also be totally crazy, and wow I just accidentally thought up an awesome Legion of Super-Heroes story.

I've never managed to write any of the 'big guns' F4, X-Men, Thor, Iron Man, Spider-man etc I've always played around at the edges with 'smaller' characters, mainly because I tend to see stories in characters who are being mishandled/not given exposure whereas obviously the big guns have regularly. They are ones I'd like to write though.
Often rather than characters I get kind of themes. So I got to write my pulpy superhero title with Yellow Jacket over at Anthology and Doc Samson as 'thinking man's superhero here.
I still want to write:
Teen titles- I think there's something great about teenage superheroes from the Titants, New X-Men etc mainly because they can bring a new view on things and even minor villains can become a big threat, they themselves are- they hit someone too hard and seriously hurt them because they're young. I like the idea of building new legacies...again whilst tying into old ones.
For example I had numerous pitches before to try and get a teen team:
One kind of stolen from Dynamo 5 which features a bunch of kids getting one power of the Sentry/Shazam each and forming a superteam (with The Sentry there's the added fun of perhaps one of them becoming the void and did they also get his mental health issues.
Young Avengers: a bunch of teenage clones of various Superheroes constructed by AIM who become a superteam whilst dealing with the fact they're all clones and their lives aren't real.
I took the kids from Braddock's Academy in that Avenger Arena book and plonked them down in a British Comprehensive school on a council estate which I really liked....think Misfits in the MU etc
I've also really wanted to write some Urban Fantasy superhero title, I did for one arc with Union Jack (at marvel anthology, which I was sad to see go after only one issue went up...maybe some interest here?). I'd love to see Thor or Hercules (or Loki more likely) retooled into an urban Fantasy more grounded title reign back the ultra cosmic strength stuff. Think 'What if Neil Gaiman wrote Thor'. I had a piptch about Man-Thing which I liked too which was just supernatural occurances in the small town thnks to the Nexus of realities.
One idea which brought both of those together was 'Young Gods' that I had an idea about have a Loki spell go wrong which wipes out all the pantheons of Marvel and turns them into human teenagers (or younger) Thor-Girl, 9 year old Zeus, Kid Loki, Enchantress, The Warriors three etc and have them embroiled in some fantasy whilst in high School adventures.
Those plus a hundred 'reboot' universe ideas for Supreme Power and the Ultimate universe

DC 1,000,000 Mitch Shelley was able to access any prior power set via something mounted on his forearm. I'd love to see that taken advantage of.

I'm in a similar position to Anthony (love the username iamcrute, by the by). I've always gravitated towards writing the lesser lights of the MU - Wasp, Silver Sable, Shanna The She-Devil, etc - and I've never really touched the big guns, apart from a whole bunch of Spider-Man and a bit of Avengers and Fantastic Four.
Back in the day I wanted to take a shot at Thor, the 'proper' Avengers (Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Black Panther, Wasp, Scarlet Witch, Vision), and the classic X-Men, but I'm not sure the desire is there any more.
I'd like to take a crack at the Justice League now I'm reading more DC, and maybe Stargirl. Most of my 'dream projects' would be Elsewords-type tales and retro stuff, none of which would probably happen.

I'm rereading some old Hulk issues, and a part of me wants to do a Pantheon series.
An ancient, secret left wing organization, descended from the Gods, fighting to change the world while being the most messed up family ever.
How is there no fanfic series for these people?

I've been planning a Summer writing project that will finally bring two of TV's haunting families together at last. Yes, I'm going to be working on a Munsters/Addams Family crossover e-book for Halloween. I will post chapters up on Fanfiction.net first before I merge the chapters into one e-book.
