Thought for the day: The new 52 was supposed to restart the DCU all over again and writers would rebuild characters from the ground up. Almost nobody did that, let's be honest.
Given the choice to start from day one, who would you pick?
My list: ( I could probably do this all day, but I went with my top three)
Superman: Easy pick. He's just moved to metropolis and is learning the ropes about himself and life in the big city.
Legion of Super heroes: I'd start with the original three and build up to 128 members would be slow. I'd do a star trek meets super heroes vibe
Green Arrow: He and Black Canary aren't a couple, they are almost rivals. I'd mix Grell's 'urban hunter' bit with super villains.
These are the thoughts that get me through the crazy work day.

I've long had an idea for "Ultimate Wonder Woman" that I've never found the right home for.
Aside from that I'd also like a fresh crack at the LOSH, Captain Marvel (and related Whiz characters) and I also have a version of the Books of Magic in my back pocket that I'd love to get out there that brings the concept a lot more into DC canon rather than vertigo "kindah canom"

Okay, I'll play.
Supergirl - Kara was born after Krypton exploded on a city floating in space, because her dad is the older, smarter brother of Superman's dad. And she's not going to let him forget it.
Captain Miracle - Billy Batson is a kid who picks a stupid super-hero name for his super-hero persona, and apparently he can't use Marvel. So he'll go with a name that somebody else was forced to use for a while.
Birds of Prey - Dinah Laurel Lance has tried very hard to step out from under the shadow of her mother, the original Black Canary. But now she suddenly has a sister, Sara, who calls herself White Canary and is better than Laurel in every way. The Lords of Chaos and Order seem to be involved. Yes, this a version of Hawk and Dove, except they both like to kick people in the face.

Batman- The Waynes are cousins to the Falcones. Thomas refused to play ball with his cousin Carmine who sent Joe Chill to kill Thomas and Martha after a night at the opera. Bruce and his brother Tommy witnessed their parents' death, while their sister Helena was in the car with Alfred. Carmine produced a doctored will showing he was the kids' guardian. Bruce successfully sued for emancipation from Carmine at age 12, with Alfred becoming his legal guardian. Tommy stayed with Carmine. Helena ran away a year later and hasn't been seen since.
At 18 Bruce left Gotham to train around the world, while Tommy began to train as a lieutenant for "Uncle Carmine." At 21 Bruce returns to Gotham with the symbol of the Bat (which Carmine is deathly afraid of), and the identity of Batman already mapped. As this ruthless (but non-lethal!) vigilante begins to clean up the streets with GCPD Lieutenant James Gordon, Tommy takes over the Falcone family operation for the incarcerated Carmine. Meanwhile, a young woman in purple has appeared on the streets, pursuing similar yet lethal ends to the Bat.
Meanwhile, a clown-faced anarchist arrives on Tommy Wayne's doorstep with an offer...

Crashed after a rough day at work and basically dreamed a complete Doom Patrol story that has nothing to do with any of the story ideas I've been working on. It just sprang nearly fully formed out of my warped brain.
and the weird thing is it's actually pretty good, so it will be showing up down the line.
Anybody else ever had that happen to them?

I may have accidentally written a new Project Argent story plan out of boredom

Yeah I’ve been there recently. With recovering from surgery and being sick the last few weeks I’ve planned out and started two new projects for DC2Ks Edge books. A quarter way through the first issue for one and half way for the other. Once I’m done with the first issues I’ll probably submit them to Dave to see what he thinks.

All this chat about the Illuminati got me thinking:
What would the DC version of the Illuminati be?

All this chat about the Illuminati got me thinking: What would the DC version of the Illuminati be? Ooh interesting, I'd say: Batman, Amanda Waller, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Madame Xanadu (Picked her over Fate or Zee for sheer experience she's been alive longer than either can imagine and Fate's raw power isn't learned it's given), Mister Terrific...? Should there be someone else? I feel like I'm missing someone key.

I liked the majority of yours.
Batman (the Everyman/normal human) Wonder Woman (Deities/Diplomacy) Aquaman (the Seas) Mister Terrific (Science) Madame Xanadu (Magic)
The ones I’d change:
Steve Trevor (the Government) Martian Manhunter (Alien/the Mind)

I can only get about four. I don't want to include Batman and I have trouble finding girls that work for me.
So far:
Hawkman Aquaman Mr. Terrific
I was going to include Dr. Fate, but thought I'd go with Dr. Occult instead Maybe an immortal like Iron Monroe...
Need to do more research.

Ah, the joys of insomnia! Finished a Ghost Rider issue, am halfway through an Elseworld story, have notes plotting out a mini-series building off my marvel halloween story and two Lost in space stories for Every-verse.
I don't recommend it for everyone, but on occasion it pays off.

I'm thinking in 2019 I might try a third ongoing ( because I'm an idiot and sleep is for the weak)
So, questions for the group:
1)Should I try a new title or bring back an old title from archive limbo?
B) and if you said new: DC or marvel?
extra credit: Feel free to add a suggested team/character etc if one springs to mind. I started scribbling an idea list, but you guys have some some brilliant suggestions in the past.

What is the significance of X-24 (Laura Kinney isn’t seeming at all original)? Why is she such a stone cold b*tch? I decided to jump outside the box for a suggestion and this was the first character that popped into my head.

I've always enjoyed Pantha. Then again I'm really drawn to cat themed characters.
