The fact that their series is a 6 issue mini is the reason you plan to have them in the Titans?

Liked the idea of Wonder Twins, but it got too jokey and lost me. Was it always planned to be a mini, or was that one of those retroactive decisions where DC acts like that was the plan the whole time?

What I have planned now in Teen Titans is to intro them into the DC2K universe outside of their Extreme Justice debut. They would debut after my newest arc as heroes in training. When I did the back-ups back in Teen Titans # 1 is was set in the Superfriends universe, and I do plan on going back to that series to finish it.

I keep thinking of would Age of heroes worked better with established characters? If Damage had Been Loose Canon or someone like that? That sort of idea. Mining DC history vs creating the big new thing.

Nah - This is classic fan whinge
"Don't change existing characters! Make new characters!" - "Why don't you use older characters instead of creating new ones! Nobody will buy it!"
It's a vicious circle that I observe every time, a new series comes out and nerds give it 6 issues before it's canceled. They use existing characters, but tweak them slightly, and nerds get anything because they've changed a character "for no good reason". Maybe Loose Cannon would have worked better, but he is particularly low on the recognised IP scale.

It's the eternal debate: try something new or bring back something we already know. Both sides have both good and bad examples.

Good to hear. I liked the new blood heroes, but it seems like 99% got forgotten five minutes after the event was over.

I thought there were lots of fun characters, but no effort was put in to build them up.
I still have the Psybrats mini and maybe the Loose Cannon one.

Sad to see this line crashing, but pretty happy that Terrifics is the last man standing.
